Kellogg + Associates led a team of consultants through a process involving multiple agencies and stakeholder groups. City Center’s location is adjacent to a planned university campus and calls for a mix of housing, employment, entertainment, shopping, and government uses. Pedestrian oriented streets interconnect a core of small blocks to multi-modal corridors to the south and west and a future rail station. Linear parks, linkages and bike paths connect to adjacent developments and a regional arroyo system to be developed as open space. Sustainable urbanism best practices include sites for public art, urban storm water management and green building requirements.
